Then I played trumpet, electric bass, and mandolin before falling in love with the guitar at 14.” |
| He began performing throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and developing a popular following. Tomas continues to expand his musical influences by visiting such destinations throughout the world as Spain, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Colombia, Peru and other Latin American countries.  “I would like to reach deep into each person’s heart with my music and have them feel the connection we all have as humans through the love and joy as well as the sorrow and longing” says Tomas.Tomas’ first CD, Heart Coming Home, was well received and continues to sell well. In addition to his concert and recording successes, Tomas has developed an innovative course in guitar instruction. He founded and operates the Starland Music Center in Alameda, California, which has a student enrollment of over 300, ranging in ages from four to seventy-four. Tomas is busy working on writing songs and performs regularly. He has two wonderful daughters, Melanie and Angela, who help him with his album cover designs. |
