These days, most people associate Steve Fairclough with his endorsement Clinics and shows across U.K., Ireland, Europe and the U.S.A. for both TAKAMINE & PARKER guitars, and this is something that pleases Steve enormously.
In his words, "The clinics have allowed me to communicate on a face to face basis with audiences worldwide, in a way that sometimes just isn't possible in a normal 'gig' situation, and that communication with the audience is vital to the future of my music." Steve has over the years played in any number of different styles and bands from early tours of New Orleans in 1981 when he was billed as 'The White B.B.King', through periods of Hard rock guitar sessions in and around London and Manchester and encompassing his own critically acclaimed 'indie' band the "Ash Can School" in the late eighties. He has earned his living as an 'in-house composer' for commercial studios dealing in T.V. and film soundtracks as well as running his own studios and wearing all hats including Producer, engineer, and programmer. Between 1991 and 1993 he taught at the Guitar Academy in the North of England specialising in Applied Jazz Harmony for Guitar. He is also currently Product Specialist, Demonstrator and Artist Liason for KORG UK LTD and a Clinician for KORG U.S.A. & KORG inc. "Steve Fairclough is a collage of some of the Worlds Greatest Guitar players, and as such he's one of my favourite players" BUSTER B. JONES "Steve is a superbly accomplished player at home in both the Jazz idiom and the Fingerstyle world, and playing with him is always a pleasure" PEPPINO D'AGOSTINO "Lots of variety, environments, textures and just plain good tunes, this is a Refreshing, Musical, Unexpected guitar player" PRESTON REED |
