Ron E. Carter

Ron E. Carter's playing and song-writing ability is spellbinding. His self-tuition and motivations lead to an unusual talent. Rhythms and sensations resonate not only with early childhood memories but also with musical directions and excursions into jazz, soul, rock and blues.

He has a wide understanding of music & his ability to play drums & percussion as well as guitar & piano allow him a thorough insight into the structure of music.
His versatility & unique style of playing has the power to intrigue as does his prolific and innovative song-writing ability coupled with a natural stage presence that captivates his audience. Ron's guitar playing can be both sensitive & jazzy capturing a ferocious speed and attack, hence one description of Ron's guitar playing as "The dynamics of Hendrix and McLaughlin combined."
Ron's debut album "Ad Idem" was released with a concert at South East London's Blackheath Concert Halls in June '97. This was followed quickly by other London dates at venues such as Camden's Jazz Café and The Borderline & more recently supporting Gary Moore & Jack Bruce at The Chelsea Jazz & Blues Festival (July '98).
